Emily Boster, a reporter for KIMT-TV in Mason City, has been appointed by the Iowa Supreme Court to serve as the Region 3 media coordinator for Iowa’s Expanded News Media Coverage program, which allows journalists to use cameras, audio recorders, computers and mobile phones in Iowa courtrooms under most circumstances.
Boster replaces Matt Bradley, who has left the Mason City television station.
Boster was nominated to replace Bradley by the Iowa Freedom of Information Council, which serves as the Supreme Court’s central coordinator of the Expanded Media program.
Boster coordinates Expanded Media requests in seven counties — Winnebago, Worth, Mitchell, Hancock, Cerro Gordo, Floyd and Franklin. Journalists can reach her at 641-420-1598 or at Emily.Boster@KIMT.com
